Why are you going on this mission trip? If you have not asked yourself this question it is time that you stopped and did. There are many reasons why someone goes on a mission trip. Some are valid and others are not. Whatever your reason is for going one reason must take precedence over all the others. And that is that you are committed to doing a spiritual work for the Lord. To do this type of work you must be flexible, open and come with a spirit of servanthood.
God has already begun to stretch you spiritually in order for you to be able to do all that He will ask of you on the mission field. God will work in your life a little each day as He steadily presents new growth opportunities for you to achieve to His glory. Continue to yield yourself to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps you are at the juncture of needing financial blessings in order to pay for your trip. Perhaps there are specific needs or family arrangements that must be taken care of first so that you can go to the mission field. Or maybe there is that habit that you still need to put aside because it hinders your witness. God is waiting for your response to willingly take on all these obstacles and step out on faith believing and trusting in His promises.
